VEKA Softline 82

When to consider VEKA Softline 82

VEKA Softline 82 offers high thermal performance for demanding homes, exposed locations and low-energy projects where deeper profiles and suitable glazing make a difference.

Projects where a deeper system may help

  • Villas and detached homes with extensive glazing.
  • Homes in inland parts of Alicante province with cooler winters.
  • Low-energy or Passivhaus projects requiring the relevant specification.
  • Larger exposed openings where glazing, shading and insulation need careful assessment.

Compare the complete assembly with a 76 mm system

Seven frame chambers, six sash chambersand the specified seals form part of the 82 mm system. The stated reference assembly quotesUw 0.67 W/m²K, while the visible profile is 124 mm. The glass, test dimensions and configuration must be compared alongside these figures.

The dedicated Passiv 1.0 version has separate documentation. Its specification should be checked against the climate and requirements of the project.

Assess the investment for your home

We compare the price and complete specification with a shallower system, using the property’s opening sizes, exposure and intended use. A deeper profile is useful where its assembly meets an identified requirement, rather than as an automatic upgrade for every room.

Summer comfort in Alicante

An insulating assembly reduces heat transfer, but solar-control glazing, exterior shading and ventilation also matter in summer. This is especially relevant for south- and west-facing glazing and exposed penthouses.

The right combination is selected from the building’s needs; the lowest reference Uw value alone does not establish summer comfort.

Security and acoustics

Compatible Class A profiles, reinforcement, hardware and glazing can form the stated RC2 security assembly. The acoustic laminated reference test quotes 45 dB insulation. These properties refer to the specified complete configurations and need to be checked for the actual order.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

How do you compare Softline 82 with Cortizo A 84 Passivhaus?

We compare the complete assemblies, appearance, glazing, hardware and applicable documentation. Softline 82 has rounded profile lines; Cortizo A 84 has straighter lines. Their best reference Uw values relate to particular configurations, not every window.

When is triple glazing useful in an Alicante home?

It can be appropriate for a specific thermal or acoustic requirement, an exposed opening or a low-energy project. Suitable double glazing may meet other projects’ needs. We assess the complete building and opening before choosing.

Should every apartment use Softline 82?

No single system suits every apartment. We compare glazing area, exposure, noise, required insulation and budget. A 76–78 mm system may provide a suitable balance for some openings.

Can Softline 82 use triple or acoustic laminated glazing?

Yes, compatible configurations can use these glazing types. The permitted glass thickness, sash weight and dimensions must be checked for the exact assembly.
