Our approach

More than windows on the terrace

Choose sliding openings to save access space, hinged openings for better sealing and ventilation, or a combination of fixed and opening panels.

Profiles are only part of the result. We also check glazing, junctions, finishing details, drainage and the condition of the supports.

PVC is well suited to the Alicante coast, with resistance to sea salt and humidity.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need permission to close the terrace?

It depends on the building, the community of owners and the municipal regulations. We review it with you before manufacturing and we guide you on the steps to follow.

Sliding or hinged windows for an enclosure?

Sliding saves access space; hinged or tilt-and-turn openings close against compression seals for better insulation. We often combine fixed panels with different opening types.

Can I put blinds in the enclosure?

Yes, with monoblock roller shutter boxes or adapted guides. We study it according to the available height.

Should I choose PVC or aluminium for a terrace enclosure?

PVC provides thermal insulation and resistance to salty air. For an aluminium exterior appearance, we can assess Cortizo Alcover, which uses exterior aluminium cladding over PVC.

Does an enclosed terrace count towards the property floor area?

This depends on local planning rules and the work carried out. Check with your town hall. We can provide technical information on the window system.

Can I ventilate an enclosure in summer?

Yes. Include suitable opening leaves, such as tilt-and-turn or sliding windows. Solar-control glazing and shading can also help control summer heat.

How much does a PVC terrace enclosure cost per square metre?

It depends on opening type, glazing, colour, leaves and roller shutters. We measure your terrace and provide a specific written quote.

How long does installation take?

Once manufactured, a typical balcony or terrace enclosure is usually installed in one day. Larger lift-and-slide or folding configurations may take longer.

Should I choose sliding or folding?

Sliding is economical and saves swing space but leaves part of the opening covered. Folding clears nearly the whole opening and needs space for the stacked leaves.

Guide

PVC terrace enclosures in Alicante

A PVC terrace enclosure turns a seasonal space into a useful dining area, office or room with a view. We assess opening types, glazing, supports and ventilation before ordering it to measure.

PVC for the Alicante coast

Compared with aluminium without a thermal break, PVC enclosures offer stronger thermal insulation and resist corrosion from sea salt. They are easy to clean with water and neutral soap. VEKA and Cortizo finishes include white, plain colours, wood effects and two-tone combinations.

Sliding, hinged, mixed and folding openings

  • Sliding saves access space on balconies and terraces. Options include Ekosol and Cortizo C 70; we assess each opening before choosing.
  • Hinged or tilt-and-turn closes against compression seals and provides flexible ventilation, for example with Softline 76.
  • Mixed combines fixed glazing with sliding access and hinged ventilation.
  • Folding stacks leaves to one side to clear almost the whole opening, particularly useful for porches.

Porches and patios

An enclosure may combine PVC windows and doors with an existing roof or a proposed glazed or panel roof. We assess the supporting structure, junctions and drainage before recommending a solution.

What affects the price?

The price per square metre depends on the opening system, number of leaves, glazing, colour and any shutters or roof. We measure and provide a written fixed quote with the items broken down.

Permissions and the community of owners

A terrace enclosure may require community approval and local authorisation. Check the requirements with your town hall and community of owners before proceeding. We can provide the window-system technical documentation.

Terraces, balconies and penthouses

We install enclosures in Alicante, San Juan, San Vicente del Raspeig and the surrounding province. See real examples in our project gallery.

Choosing glazing

Solar-control glass can reduce incoming heat on south- or west-facing terraces; low-emissivity glass helps retain warmth in winter. Laminated safety glass suits locations with relevant impact risks. We recommend glazing according to orientation and use, with optional shutters, awnings or PVC louvred shutters.

PVC enclosures and frameless glass curtains

Frameless glass curtains create an open visual effect but generally offer less sealing and insulation than framed double-glazed PVC. For a large glazed opening with insulation, compare lift-and-slide doors and folding doors.

Shall we take a look at your terrace?

We assess the space, recommend a suitable system and give you a no-obligation quote.
